SAGAING DIVISION – Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Mother’s Son), the spokesperson of People’s Defense Comrade based in Ye U said that the atrocious junta army launched airstrikes targeting a place near Inpahtoe Village where the civilians were performing a Kahtina (Buddhist Religious Donation Celebrations) Ceremony in Ye U Township, Sagaing Division.
It was reported that the junta army launched two airstrikes at around 4:14 p.m. on October 20. Two bombs were dropped near the bridge crossing the stream between the three villages of Inpahtoe, Sithar Myay and Mae Oh and exploded but did not cause any casualties of the civilians.
“A MiG-29 fighter which took off from Shantae reportedly dropped the bombs near the bridge crossing the stream between Sithar Myay and Mae-Oh villages near Inpahtoe at the west of Ye U region, where the civilians were performing the Kahtina ceremony but there was no casualty of the civilians. A bomb landed near the bridge and another one landed in the stream,” said Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Mother’s Son).
He again reminded the civilians to avoid the activities such as festive celebrations, Kahtina donation and Chinlone (cane ball) tournaments, which need to gather crowds especially in the period of Thadingyut and Tasaungmone (October and November).
