SHAN STATE – An official from the information department of PNLA (Pa’O National Liberation Army) reported that the fighting is intense near Ponchaung Bridge as the junta council is raiding with infantry troops and also bombed the bridge on the Saikhaung-Honnan Road in Hsihseng Township of southern Shan State.
The terrorist junta council reportedly dropped three bombs on the Saikhaung-Honnan Ponchaung Bridge, a bridge with heavy civilian traffic, in the PNLA territory around 10:30 a.m. on November 20.
At the same time, junta infantry troops and their subordinate PNO (Pa’O National Organisation) Pyithusit militants launched an offensive into the PNLA territory, resulting in clashes near Ponchaung Bridge.
“The situation on the ground is unclear. Around 10:30 this morning (November 20), the junta council dropped three bombs on that Ponchaung Bridge. And there are also clashes near the bridge. The main reason for the battle is that junta council and its subordinate Pyithusit militants advanced into our territory,” explained an official from the PNLA information department.
The PNLA information department has announced that the junta council and PNO Pyithusit have reinforced their number and are trying to advance into PNLA territory.
