TANINTHARYI DIVISION – An official from Myeik District No. 1 Battalion said that they attacked, captured and burned the terrorist army camp in Mee Laun Chaung village, which often challenges the revolutionary forces.
It is reported that the revolutionary forces attacked the place where the terrorist army and Pyu Saw Htee were stationed in the village of Mee Laun Chaung, in Palaw township and a battle last for about 2 hours, on August 8, at about 6:00 a.m. A terrorist soldier was killed and they no longer defend and ran away with quite large number of casualties.
After the terrorist war council soldiers left the camp and fled, the revolutionary joint forces burned down their defense positions and the bunkers built inside the school compound in the village of Mee Laun Chaung, and evacuated the people who were trapped in the fighting.
“A war dog was killed in the battle. It can be many casualties. The war dogs fled to a guard post hill between the village of Mee Laun Chaung and Infantry Battalion (IB)-17 based in Boke. The Mee Laun Chaung camp is a camp that challenges us from time to time. They said if you have the courage to come, come and fight, but when we really fight, they can’t defend and just ran,” said an official from Myeik District No. 1 Battalion.
The attack was carried out by the People’s Defense Army (Palaw), Myeik District No. (1) Battalion, Karen National Defense Force (KNDO) Battalion (7), Palaw township People’s Defense Team and the Revolutionary Alliance Forces worked together.
On August 5th, the Myeik District No. 1 Battalion and the Karen National Defense Force (KNDO) (7th) Battalion, 2nd company attacked the Palaw Police Station and the checkpoint in front of it, killing 3 junta council soldiers, an official from the People’s Defense Army (Palaw) No. 1 Battalion, Myeik District continued to say.
