YANGON DIVISION – An official from North Okkalapa Township People’s Defence Force reported that junta casualties are expected after two hand grenades were thrown into the junta administration office for Ward 14 in South Okkalapa Township.
The administration office located beside Ngwetaung Restaurant was attacked around 9 p.m. on November 21 and it is expected that junta administration staff and police were hit by the attack.
“Both grenades exploded so there could be casualties. The people also reported hearing two loud explosions. We don’t know the updates on the attack yet. That office was beside Ngwetaung Restaurant. All our soldiers were able to return unharmed,” said the official from North Okkalapa Township People’s Defence Force.
The official continued that the attack is carried out by members of North Okkalapa Township People’s Defence Force as a revenge for Comrade Chocolate (aka) Thardin who was captured and murdered by the employees at Ngwetaung Restaurant during a mission in 2023.
