SAGAING DIVISION – The terrorist junta forces raiding the border of Ye U Township and Taze Township continuously raided and torched three villages on November 17 morning, reported Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar), the information officer of Ye U-based People’s Defence Comrade.
Starting around 7 a.m. on November 17, the estimated 180-strong junta column stationed at Ywabugyi and Sisone Villages in northern Ye U Township consecutively raided and set fire to Kyohtain, Kalazin, and Montaipin Villages, having torched Ywabugyi Village and Sisone Village the previous day.
Those junta forces have been raiding the villages at the border of Ye U and Taze since November 16, and over 5,000 people from more than 10 villages have been displaced, fleeing from their raids.
“The junta dogs (junta forces) torched and destroyed three villages at the border of Ye U and Taze this morning (November 17). They are setting fire to two more villages now. The junta dogs have been on a consecutive rampage, and many civilians had to flee. There could be more displaced people than the estimated number. We can’t confirm yet if any were abducted. Because the dogs are strong in number, they have spread out their forces. We can’t approach the village,” said Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Amaethar).
Another junta column of 50 is also reported to have raided and torched Khapaung Kyaing Village in Taze Township on November 16 night.
