CHIN STATE – The village in Mindat township was attacked by the junta council’s aircraft and there were initial reports of civilian casualties.
The bomb attack was launched between Lwethar village, between Mindat township and Makweeainnu Myothit and Outchaing village on 7:00 p.m. of March 1, the local said that air strikes were carried out again on the evening of March 2.
“There is no battle. We don’t know what information they get and launched three air strikes. The details of the casualties have not been known yet,” said a resident from Mindat township.
Somewhere in prefecture 13 was attacked at 7:00 p.m. on March 1, about 12:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on March 2 with jet fighters, said a comrade from Mindat CDF.
“There were the remaining unexploded bombs in the middle of the village. People were injured. The details are not yet known due to connection problem.”
The junta council opened fire even though there was no ground battle.
The area of the air attack was found to be an explosion near Lweta village, Mindat township.
However, the details of the damage are not yet known.
On January 29th, seven civilians were killed in junt’s aerial bombardment of Hom village in Daai region, Paletwa township without any fighting.
The National Unity Government reported on January 12 that the junta council carried out 583 airstrikes against civilian targets from November 2021 to December 2023, killing 897 civilians.
