MYANMAR – The terrorist junta council is exporting Myanmar workers to a total of 16 countries and is working to expand it to more countries including Russia, according to the Labour Ministry sources.
Since the 2021 military coup, the junta council has exported labour to 16 countries: Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Kuwait, Turkey, Hungary, South Korea, Brunei, Laos, China, Albania and Cambodia and is currently working to add new countries including Russia to the list.
“At present, the ministry of labor has permitted registered employment agencies to export labor to 16 countries and approve their demand letters. They have signed Mou’s with Thailand, South Korea and Laos and Russia will be allowed soon,” said the Labour Ministry source.
Basic Russian is a must for workers going to Russia and the junta council has opened planned for basic Russian language programs and also allowed private schools to open Russian language classes. It is said that Russia has a labour demand in the construction and agriculture sectors at a zero cost service fee.
Myanmar workers will be sent to Russia under the G to G system with the Myanmar Ministry of labor acting as the official agent and official news regarding the export of labour to Russia will reportedly be published soon.
