BAGO DIVISION – A young man bed-ridden by poor health in Yaykartar Village, Oakpho Township was abducted by junta forces who said that his name was among those drafted for military conscription, reported acquaintances of the young man.
The young man who can’t even walk was forcibly taken by junta forces around 8 p.m. on November 8. It is said that the junta administration officer for Ngashintyoe Village had put him in the list for the seventh batch of conscription.
Similarly, five people from Sintekone Village and nine people from Gwayhtaukkome Village in Minhla Township were abducted by junta forces on November 9 evening. Junta forces also raided Pattanlay Village, Pattangyi Village, Mokkhar Village and Thaphanpinseik Village in Minhla Township on November 10 night and abducted Mr. Kyaw Thu Win from Mokkhar Village, Mr. Naing Win from Pattanlay Village and Mr. Larlu from Pattangyi Village.
Moreover, junta forces stationed at Mottai administration office summoned the residents of Phokhaungtin Village in Paungde Township to a meeting on November 3, threatened them to serve in the army demanded the people to pay money in support of the military. Following that, Than Lwin, Soe Hlaing and Thein Swe Oo from Phokhaungtin Village led and collected from 50,000 to 200,000 Kyats per household in the village.
