MANDALAY DIVISION – Local residents reported that terrorist junta forces led by Major Than Naing Oo abducted around 70 civilians including women and took them away with their hands tied in the back in Tada U.
It is said that the junta forces abducted civilians near Tada U Town, on the roads to Thinpan Village, Latsaungyu Village and the old Ava City, starting around 7 a.m. on November 10. Around 70 civilians including women were tied up and taken away.
“The abduction by junta forces in Tada U today (November 10) was horrifying. Around 70 people were taken. They didn’t just stay near Magyeetaw Village like in the past but switched places, spread out around the town and abducted people. The abducted people were also treated differently from before, they were tied up first so they couldn’t escape then taken away. Two women were among those abducted. It started around 7 a.m. today and about 70 people were abducted in just one day. Now, they are abducting women as well (likely for conscription),” said a resident.
