SAGAING DIVISION – The terrorist junta forces stationed at Taungyin Village in Sagaing Township were attacked and there were casualties of junta troops, said Officer Nay Myo from Shwebo District Battalion 18, adding that the junta forces took around 30 civilians hostage and ran away from the village.
In the early morning of November 27, over 100 terrorist junta forces that came out of Padu Village raided Taungyin Village and took station inside the monastery and the school.
Those terrorist junta forces were attacked by the soldiers of Shwebo District Battalion 18 that evening, resulting in junta casualties and the junta council was also said to have provided aerial attacks in support.
“We have yet to find out the exact number of junta casualties. We also didn’t get any dead bodies of junta dogs (junta forces). The dogs are no longer in the village. They retreated after our battle yesterday (November 27). They entered (the village) and took station early yesterday morning but we chased them away this time. They abducted around 30 civilians who were working in the fields near the village. They are not released yet. They were stationed in two places, at the monastery and the school. We attacked both places at the same time. Around 20 minutes after the junta dogs retreated, junta planes came and bombed the monastery and the school where they stationed. The junta dogs have returned to Padu Police Station,” said Officer Nay Myo.
He continued that the terrorist junta forces abducted around 30 civilians who were working in the fields near Taungyin Village to use as human shields and have yet to release them, and that the military situation remains tense.
