MYANMAR – The terrorist junta council set fire to Ywatharaye Village and Pyaeai Village in Pakokku Township, Magway Division, reported an official from Myaing Spring Revolution Team.
Around 60 terrorist junta forces that departed from Infantry Division 101 around 12:30 p.m. on December 17 reportedly started torching the two villages that afternoon.
Due to the junta arson, the houses in the village were ablaze throughout the night and it is said that the junta forces set up hidden sentries at the entrance of the villages and fired at the civilians who tried to put out the fire.
“The villages are still on fire. There are junta dogs (junta forces) posted at the village entrance firing at anyone trying to put out the fire so no one dares approach. The junta dogs started setting the village on fire since noon and are only now preparing to leave,” said the official from Myaing Spring Revolution Team on December 17 night.
The junta arson is expected to destroy a large number of houses but the exact number is not known yet.
In addition, the junta air force bombed the villages in northern Kanbalu Township of Sagaing Division, according to an official from the Kyunhla-Kanbalu Activists Group.
A junta fighter jet that took off from Tada U is reported to have bombed the villages in northern Kanbalu Township at 12:05 p.m. and 12:12 p.m. on December 16.
“There was luckily no harm to civilians. The junta dogs (junta forces) bombed the area near the village,” said the official from Kyunhla-Kanbalu Activists Group.
