SHAN STATE – The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) announced that 12 weapons and ammunition were seized in the battles that broke out in Mongmit and Nawnghkio Townships due to the junta council launching offensives after reinforcing its troops.
On July 16, the terrorist junta council’s troops from infantry battalion 276 under military operations command 21 conducted an offensive in Mongmit Township and clashed against the joint forces of TNLA+PLA and PDF near Taungkai Village.
In the battle, 11 guns, one 60mm mortar, ammunition and military equipment were seized from the junta forces and the junta council reportedly carried out three drone strikes at the site of the battle.
On the same day in Nawnghkio Township, TNLA and junta forces faced off near Kangyi Village and Thayetkone around 9:25 a.m. then at 9:15 p.m., the terrorist junta forces stationed at Bantbway Village and Yewin Village launched two drone strikes and three artillery strikes against the PSLF/TNLA camp near Thaekhaw Village.
Meanwhile in Mogok Township, the terrorist junta forces at Mogok Strategic Hill fired six rounds of heavy artillery towards Yayaye Ward and Panma Village at 8:56 p.m. on July 15, killing two civilians and injuring four.
