SAGAING DIVISION – Local residents reported that junta soldiers accused three civilians detained in Sagaing of belonging to the People’s Defence Force (PDF) and murdered them.
24-year-old Mr. Paung Chain and 31-year-old Mr. Thant Zaw Lin who was going to work in Yangon from Lintalu Village in Sagaing Township, were abducted by junta forces in Sagaing on September 26.
40-year-old Mr. Aung Ko Myint, driving between Sagaing and Taungkyar Village, was similarly abducted on the same day.
The three were then accused of being PDF members and murdered by the junta and Pyu Saw Htee forces on September 28 near Kywalpon Village.
“They were put into uniforms that don’t belong to the (PDF) forces active here. The car was also seized together with the driver. That car is now at Kywalpon,” shared a resident.
It is said that the Pyu Saw Htee thugs have been abducting and murdering civilians after the case of 12 women getting killed in Kywalpon Village on September 17.
Junta forces have also raided and abducted multiple people from Natkhayine Village on the Sagaing-Monywa Road recently.
