MAGWAY DIVISION – An official from Yesagyo People’s Defence Organisation (PDO) reported that they ambushed the patrol units of the terrorist junta council that came out from Sinchaung Village in Yesagyo Township, killing one of them.
On September 17 around 1:30 p.m., about 15 junta and Pyu Saw Htee forces that came out of Sinchaung Village to patrol the east of the village were attacked between Konetalin Village and Zeekone Village by Yesagyo PDO soldiers waiting for them.
“They came out to the east of Sinchaung Village to patrol. We attacked them between Konetalin (Village) and Zeekone (Village). One assumed to be a Pyu Saw Htee was killed on the spot. Around two or three more were injured. The Pyu Saw Htee leader from Sinchaung Village is called Nga Lin. Junta soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militants came out together but most were Pyu Saw Htee forces under Nga Lin. They ran away immediately after the attack. All of our comrades are safe,” said the official from Yesagyo PDO.
It is said that the attack lasted around 30 minutes and resulted in the death of a Pyu Saw Htee militant and around three wounded and the junta forces reportedly stopped their advance and went back to Sinchaung Village.
While sweeping the area after the junta forces ran away, a 60mm grenade and a mobile phone used by junta forces were confiscated.
Similarly in Myaing Township, Pyu Saw Htee militants that came out of Thayetkan Village were attacked during the early morning of September 17, leading to an exchange of fire. The number of junta casualties are still being investigated.
The attack was carried out by Sakkyar Local defence force, Pauk People’s Security Force, Anyar Myay Coalition, Nway Oo Nyi Naung Force, Myaing PDO Coalition, Royal Guerrilla Force and Wolf Guerrilla Force and it is said that the revolutionary forces were able to return unharmed.
