BAGO DIVISION – Junta forces raided the villages in Gyobinkauk and Padaung Townships for four consecutive days and abducted and forcibly conscripted over 30 young people, according to local residents.
Terrorist junta forces raided Koneywa Village in eastern Gyobinkauk Township around 5 a.m. on December 8 and abducted seven people from their homes.
Similarly, Padaung Town and villages in Padaung Township were also raided for four consecutive days and over 20 civilians were abducted.
In Padaung Township, junta forces abducted four young men from Taungbohgyi Village and five people from Mhankone Village on December 5; and 13 workers doing road repair works in front of Padaung Pawtawmu Pagoda on December 8.
“The junta dogs (junta forces) can’t recruit enough people so they are abducting the people they see and even breaking into homes to abduct people. The situation is very bad. In Gyobinkauk, they entered the homes to abduct people. There must have been informers, since they came to the exact address. In Padaung as well, even those doing road repair works were abducted. The villages are also under constant raids,” said a resident.
The terrorist junta council has been opening military training batches continuously since May and has reached the eighth batch in December.
