MYANMAR – The terrorist junta council is raiding the villages at the edge of Bago Yoma in Oakpho Township, Bago Division, bringing along bins of petroleum to set those villages on fire, causing the residents to flee.
The junta forces have been raiding the villages at the edge of the Bago Yoma range since December 7 and as they brought bins of petroleum on their cars to set fire to the houses, thousands of residents from four villages had to flee.
Currently, it is said that the people from Tangargone Village, Kywelphyuma Village, Taungkone Village and Gyokoepin Village are fleeing to safety and that the junta forces also abducted some civilians, dressed them in military gear and made them walk in front of the military column.
There are also ongoing confrontations between the revolutionary forces and the junta terrorists and it is said that around 300 junta troops have arrived to raid the Bago Yoma.
“Junta dogs (junta forces) are raiding the villages at the edge of Bago Yoma in Oakpho Township. They brought bins of petroleum on their cars to set the houses on fire so the residents are fleeing. The dogs have yet to climb the Yoma but are raiding the villages at its foot. There were also battles in Tharyarwaddy District in recent days. The entire village of Tangargone has fled. No one is left inside the village. Some people from Kone Village of Gyobinkauk Township also fled in anticipation of battles,” said a resident.

The terrorist junta forces raided the village around 10 a.m. on December 7, destroyed the houses and abducted a woman who was in the village.
At present, the whole village is said to be on the run. Although the junta forces left the village after breaking into, looting and destroying the houses in the village, the residents are still unable to return to the village.
