YANGON DIVISION – An official from the BLACK TIGER UG Team said that junta soldiers, police, and Pyu Saw Htee militia thugs, who were illegally seizing motorcycles between Ward 10 and the Industrial Zone in Shwe Pyi Thar Township, were attacked with improvised explosive devices, and there were casualties.
On September 28 around 7:30 p.m., two high-powered mines were used to attack the junta forces illegally seizing motorcycles and extorting money by checking phones in the public area between Ward 10 and the Industrial Zone in Shwe Pyi Thar Township. Some Pyu Saw Htee members and junta officers were injured, and further investigations are ongoing to confirm the extent of the damage.
An official from the BLACK TIGER UG Team said, “What we know so far is that there were casualties, but the exact details are still being investigated. It’s difficult to gather information as it is being concealed. We urge the public to stay away from junta forces. We will continue to take action against those who assist the junta council in conducting fraudulent elections and collecting census data.”
The attack was a joint effort by members of the BLACK TIGER UG Team and comrades from the Shwe Pyi Thar Township (PDF). The members of the People’s Defense Forces (PDF) involved in the operation have safely withdrawn from the area.
