CHIN STATE – A Chin National Army (CNA) source reported that three junta forces were killed, eleven were injured and three weapons were confiscated in an attack on a junta outpost surrounding junta light infantry (LIB) 266 near Hakha Ward in Hakha Township on December 6. It is said that the fighting is still ongoing to capture the outpost.
“There are many heavy weapons deployed at that outpost. It is defensive outpost around LIB 266. We are still attacking it. The battle is still ongoing. 11 (junta forces) including a captain were injured in the battle yesterday (December 6). Three were killed and three weapons were seized,” said the CNA source.
Chin revolutionary forces have been attacking and capturing junta bases in recent days, capturing the junta council’s C3 base between Hakha and Thantlang Township on December 4, and at least five junta outposts in Hakha and Thantlang between November 25 and early December. Over 30 junta forces including officers were killed in those battles where over 60 weapons and ammunition were seized and 19 POW were captured.
