MANDALAY DIVISION – The Revolutionary Forces combated and seized the military camp that was based in the monastery of Koke Ko Zee Village in Natogyi Township, a mile away on Yangon – Mandalay Highway, killing five junta soldiers, capturing captain Wai Phyo Thu and private Hla Phyo Aung and confiscating seven weapons, said the local news source.
On August 29, at around 2:00 p.m., the Revolutionary Forces attacked and seized the terrorist junta forces that was based in the monastery of Koke Ko Zee Village in Natogyi Township, a mile away on Yangon – Mandalay Highway, as Myingyan District Special Operation, five junta soldiers were killed, captain Wai Phyo Thu and private Hla Phyo Aung were captured alive along with seven weapons.
“There are only 10 to 15 junta forces in the camp. The Revolutionary Forces were able to capture the camp. The fight lasted only an hour. The junta army bombarded after the camp was captured. The junta army bombarded Su Yit Kone and Koke Ko Zee villages. Su Yit Kone Village was bombarded without a fight, and a residential house was said to have been on fire. The detail was under confirmation,” said the military news source.
About 3 hours after the occupation of the camp, at 6:30 p.m., an aircraft from Tada-U airbase bombed two bombs over Su Yit Kone Village and also opened fire with machine guns. Afterwards, they bombed a bomb over Koke Ko Zee Village, the battle ground, and turned back to Tada-U airbase.
The attack was jointly carried out by the Myingyan District Battalion 4 and 10.
