SHAN STATE – The Revolutionary Forces still needed to capture some remaining military bases in Lashio and the fled junta soldiers, after the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) led Revolutionary Forces attacked and captured the junta’s North Eastern Command (NEC) in Lashio City of Shan (North) State, said Maung Saungkha, the chief commander of the Bamar People’s Liberation Army (BPLA).
“The main thing that remains is to capture some of the remaining areas and arrest the fled junta forces,” Maung Songkha stated on social media.
The MNDAA has announced that they completely acquired the junta’s North Eastern Command in Lashio City, on the morning of July 25.
“Lashio Frontline News July 25: After 23 days of fighting, the MNDAA has completely captured junta’s North Eastern Command in Lashio City, at 4:00 a.m. on July 25th. The Frontline Headquarters of the MNDAA announced that Lashio has been completely liberated. The revolutionary movement to liberate Lashio is a historic victory,” MNDAA announced.
