KACHIN STATE – The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) reportedly intercepted the junta column, including tanks, leaving Bhamo Township for Momauk Township for offensive attacks, and the fights were intense, said a KIA military news source.
On July 15, the terrorist junta column carried out offensive attacks on Momauk Township after leaving Bhamo Township, the KIA intercepted that junta column near 7-mile in Momauk Township, the battle started to break out and the fighting was fierce until July 16.
At present, the fighting continues fiercely, and the numbers of junta’s casualties have not yet been confirmed, although there were casualties on the junta side during the fight.
“The military dogs (junta soldiers) headed to Momauk from Bhamo with its military tanks. The fights were fierce near 7-mile in Momauk, starting on the evening of July 15 until on the morning of July 16.
