KACHIN STATE – The allied forces of Kachin Independence Army and People’s Defence Force (PDF) attacked and captured the junta’s eight warships, and only to blow up and destroy these warships, according to the KIA news source.
“The Revolutionary Forces captured four warships at Mya Lel of Bhamo. They seized two warships at defile of a river, above Shwegu and captured another two at Mya Taung in Tigyaing. They acquired a total of eight warships.
They plan to blow up and destroy those seized warships,” said KIA news source.
On the morning of September 17, KIA and allied PDF attacked seven junta’s warships that were sailing from Shwegu Town to Bhamo Town, two warships were sunk and four were destroyed by fire. KIA confiscated those four warships. Of the seven warships, only one arrived at Bhamo. It was said that two warships were also shot down and captured in Mya Taung of Tigyaing Township.
