REPUBLIC OF KOREA – The Korean Health and Medical Workers’ Union donated 7.4 million KRW to the Myanmar National Unity Government (NUG) to use in humanitarian rescue works and the donation was received by Mr. Yan Naing Tun, the NUG representative to the Republic of Korea on September 11.
The humanitarian fund was raised from the contributions of the members of the union to support the National Unity Government. Mr. Yan Naing Tun thanked the union and said that the funds have been transferred to the NUG Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.
The office of the NUG representative to the Republic of Korea and the NUG Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management are cooperating to implement the Humanitarian Assistance Corridor for Myanmar to swiftly and effectively distribute the humanitarian aids from the Korea Myanmar organisations and individuals based in the Republic of Korea.
