SHAN STATE – Lashio Area Military Administration team is reported to have met the local civilians and explained to them the policies of Special Area 1 regarding the city of Lashio.
It is said that the meeting intends for the local civilians to have a better understanding regarding the policies of the special area and for the civilians to be more involved in resolving the issues in this region.
The meeting was held in Ward No. 3 of Lashio on August 18 and was attended by Mr. Li Xinhai, the Chief of Public Works Committee, Lashio Area Military Administration and the deputy secretary of Kutkai District Party, announced the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA).
Mr Li Xinhai told the residents of Lashio to report all kinds of illegal activities and to cooperate in the public security works of the city.
It is said that after the alliance forces enter the city, they cracked down on theft, illegal drug use and sale of narcotics, and that the presence of the Special Region 1 Police Force is a major improvement for the public safety of the city.
Moreover it is reported that they are working with related related teams to quickly set up a city wide connection network with instructions to set up a network server at every Ward and and to allow free usage to the residents.
Regarding military conscription, Mr. Li Xinhai said that the Alliance Army does no forced conscription or gather young people for rations.
During the meeting, the residents of Lashio shared their current situation and troubles with the responsible persons and the responsible persons also responded to their concerns.
