MANDALAY DIVISION – Mandalay People’s Defence Force (Mandalay PDF) announced that 15 million kyats and 25,000 kg of rice were donated to the villages in Mogok Township.
Mandalay PDF mentioned in the statement that those were the villages that fled the war during “1027 Military Operation”.
The villagers of Upper Nyaungkone, Lower Nyaungkone, Phyu Yaung, Kyauktalone and Lwemoon Villages were provided with a bag of rice (50kg) and 50,000 kyats for each household.
Mandalay PDF further conveyed its special thanks to the charity organizations based in Mogok Town who donated the bags of rice on behalf for those in need.
“Mandalay PDF is working to donate to other townships as well,” said Mr. Osmond, the spokesperson of Mandalay PDF.
Mogok Town was completely seized by Mandalay PDF and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) on July 24, 2024.
