CHIN STATE- A military council camp in Hakha Township, Chin State, was attacked and captured by the Joint Army of the Chin State Council on August 12 morning. According to a Chin news source, 11 large and small weapons were confiscated.
“These weapons were confiscated this morning from the Kay Bang Zwan Camp, located between Hakka and Thimik Creek, three miles away from Hakha,” the source said.
In the photo shown by the source, one large weapon, one machine gun, 9 small arms, 40 mm bombs, and many other munitions were seized by the Chin joint army.
Chin National Army (CNA) and Chin Regional Defense Force (CDF); the combined forces of the Chin State Council, were able to seize Kay Bang Zwan camp at around 9:00 a.m. on August 12.
CNA spokesperson Salai Htetni is trying to be reached to inquire about the situation of the most affected area during the battle and whether any prisoners of war have been captured.
The source also said that the joint forces of the Chin State Council and the Military Council are also fighting fiercely in Thantlang on August 12.
The joint army of the Chin State Council started attacking the military council camps between Hakha and Thantlang on July 22, and the operation to seize the town of Thantlang was carried out in early August.
The infantry battalion (269) has already been captured. The military council troops from the hill camp have fled into the town and were chased by resistance forces.
