SAGAING DIVISION – It was reported that the revolutionary forces waited and attacked the junta soldiers who came to close the guard gate in Wetlet Township.
At around 5:45 p.m. on November 3, junta troops stationed in Ywarthargyi Village, Welet Township were closing the guard gate on the Ayardaw -Ywarthargyi Road when the revolutionary forces ambushed them, said Ko Fatty, who is in charge of the Cat’s Claw revolutionary unit.
“The gate is on the way out to Ayardaw Township. The door is made of bamboo and thorns, which is the guard gate. Junta troops were closing that door when we shot then,” said Ko Fatty.
Three soldiers were killed in the attack, according to the the Cat’s Claw Force. However, it has not been independently confirmed by the news media group.
Some residents said that the western side of the gate was the area controlled by the revolutionary forces.
The shooting was reportedly led by Cat’s Claw Force from Ywarthargyi District and allied forces such as Meetauk (Flame) Local PDF and Tway Mashaung Local revolutionary force.
Ywarthargyi Village is occupied by the military council, and most of the locals had fled the village, no longer living there.
