MAGWAY DIVISION – Mindon Township People’s Defence Organisation (PDO) warned the residents to be cautious as the terrorist junta council is conducting offensives in Mindon Township.
The PDO issued a notice to warn the residents on September 10 after receiving exports that the terrorist junta forces that were stationed for two consecutive nights at Khontaikyin Village were preparing to move out at around 10 a.m. on September 10.
The PDO also informed that the residents who have to flee urgently can contact the Township PDO if they faced problems with rations or medicine.
The terrorist junta forces raided Khontaikyin Village around 2 p.m. on September 8 after opening fire on the defence forces guarding near the village.
“Unfortunately, the traitors, informants reported the details and locations of our comrades to the terrorist junta council so a comrade was injured but luckily, all our comrades were able to fall back,” said the Township PDO.
During the raid, the PDO also urgently rescued the civilians but some civilians who didn’t follow the instructions were reportedly captured by junta forces. The terrorist junta forces then used those people to bring other residents back to the village and are now using them as human shields, explained the PDO.
It is said that the junta forces abducted over 40 civilians and used them as human shields as they camped in the village for two nights.
