MYANMAR – The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) announced that they will be giving out rewards from five million to one billion Kyats to the junta soldiers entering the legal fold bringing along or after destroying heavy weapons, tanks or aircrafts from the junta side.
MNDAA stated that a large number of the armed forces under Min Aung Hlaing has been surrendering to the front line forces of the MNDAA recently, that MNDAA guarantees those who surrendered their lives and humanitarian assistance and that they published the statement to urge them to defect the terrorist junta council and return to the people’s embrace.
The statement mentioned that the defectors who bring along heavy weapons or those who surrender after perfectly maintaining the heavy weapons at their bases or those who come to surrender after destroying the heavy weapons to ensure that the terrorist junta forces cannot use them will be rewarded based on the tier of the weapons.
It is reported that 5 million Kyats will be rewarded for machine guns of 12.7mm calibre or higher, 10 million Kyats for cannons of 100mm calibre or higher, 100 million Kyats for tanks, armoured vehicles and other large military vehicles used on land, and 1 billion Kyats for helicopter, transport planes and other types of aircrafts.
Moreover, it was also mentioned that those who surrendered after seizing their superior officers will also be awarded 10 million Kyats.
Similarly, it was announced that the soldiers will be awarded 1 million Kyats when entering the legal fold and 1.5 million Kyats if they brought their weapons while officers from lieutenants to captains will be awarded 2 million Kyats when entering the legal fold and 2.5 million Kyats if they brought their weapons and officers from majors to colonels will be awarded 3 million Kyats for entering the legal fold and 3.5 million Kyats if they brought their weapons.
MNDAA guarantees that the members of the junta forces surrendering and entering the legal fold of their own will shall be allowed to keep their lives and be treated as per humanitarian standards and that those who work to persuade more members of the junta forces to surrender will be provided further rewards.
