SHAN STATE – The Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) announced that they have recovered nearly 100 stolen vehicles of Lashio residents and informed the owners to collect them.
It is said that after MNDAA captured Lashio City, special region 1 police force filed hundreds of cases, retrieved nearly 100 stolen vehicles and are now waiting for owners to collect them.
At the same time, the police force has adopted a reward system to encourage the residents to turn in weapons and also urged them to return contraband items.
In addition, the residents are urged to actively report various crimes and to participate for public safety in Lashio.
MNDAA announced that extraordinary results were achieved in restoring public safety in Lashio as they strengthened efforts on patrols and rule of law to improve the post war lives of the people, adding that they are working to restore the daily lives of the Lashio residents post war as the regional rule of law improves and that many residents have returned to Lashio.
In order to maintain the safety of the residents and to restore the businesses of the people who have returned, special region 1 police force is said to be exerting more efforts into fighting crime in Lashio and increased patrols in the region.
Currently, it is said that a police squadron under special region 1 police force is deployed in each ward of Lashio.
In addition, guard stations and public service stations have also been set up in crowded places and junctions for the public to receive help from the police quickly and for the ease of the people, and the police force also encouraged the people to form ward and village defence teams.
