SAGAING DIVISION – The Kachin Independence Army (KIA) and allied People’s Defence Force (PDF) reportedly combated and seized the Taung Yar Maw camp near Par Hoke Village in Homalin Township, the base of the joint forces of terrorist junta soldiers and Shanni Nationalities Army (SNA), and captured more than 10 junta soldiers and SNA members alive, said KIA news source.
The joint KIA and PDF forces completely acquired Taung Yar Maw camp on the morning of November 30, and seized a large amount of weapons.
“We have not yet confirmed the death toll. More than 10 SNA and junta dogs (military soldiers) have been captured alive. There were more than 100 of junta dogs and SNA joint forces,” said a military source.
In Homalin Township, the fighting had been ongoing for months between the allied KIA and PDF forces and the joint forces of SNA and junta army. Since the last week of November, fighting has broken out near Par Hoke Village, causing heavy casualties on the junta side. It is also reported that the joint forces of the KIA have been continuously capturing junta bases.
