SAGAING DIVISION – Local residents said that nearly 100 young men were forcibly arrested by the terrorist war council in Monywa within a day.
It is said that the junta council is arresting porters at Bogyote Road, Uptown neighborhoods, crossroads in the Monywa City and villages near the city, starting from the morning of August 25th.
“It’s bad. Junta dogs were patrolling the neighborhoods of the city. They are dragging anyone without questions. The soldiers of the junta council arrested the pedestrians and the young people at home. They forced them onto motorcycles and cars and took them away,” said a Monywa resident.
In addition to the arrests in Nandawun Ward, Theingi Ward, Myawaddy Ward, Gado Kone Ward, Monywa-Amyint Road section, houses in the villages and streets in the southern part of Monywa city, there are also arrests in city workplaces.
“Arresting for Porter is very tough. I heard there were nearly 100 from everywhere, also the bakery workers included,” said another local resident.
It is assumed that those who have been arrested will be sent to Northwestern Command in Monywa, but where they will be sent is not yet known.
It is reported that inspections are being carried out by the junta council groups on August 26th, in the Pyitaw Tha, Pool Junction, Monyway village, Aye Tharay neighborhood and near the Aye Saint Nanda Lake.
The Monywa-Amyint road true news information group announced that the Monywa-Amyint road has been temporarily closed due to the fact that cars and motorbikes are being stopped and men are being taken away.
