MANDALAY DIVISION – It was reported that a total of 39 civilians were killed, three were missing during a month of Mogoke Town capturing battle, according to the data compiled by the residents.
They were killed by the junta’s airstrike and artillery attacks during part 2 of Operations 1027, it was recorded as 25 men, 10 women and five unidentified.
“The data was compiled by the survivors. The extent of casualties and damages could be more than this,” said a survivor of Mogoke during part 2 of Operations 1027.
The victims were identified as six from Min Tada, 2 from Yae Pu, two from Ohn Kaing, seven from Sit Tan Kone, five from Kone Myint Thar, one from Padamyar, one from Si Pin Thar Yar, three from conifer farm, two from Shwe Ku, one from Mingalar Thukha, three from Nyaung Thone Pin, one from Aung Chan Thar, one from Myo Lel, two from Zay Thit and one from Ba Mon wards, and three from Bo Kone Ward were missing.
In addition, there were injuries whose condition were critical, 47 men and 31 women, a total of 78, and 171 homes were damaged, according to collected data.
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) led allied Revolutionary Forces attacked Mogoke Town on June 24, and captured it on July 24, a month later.
At present, Mogoke Tactical, TNLA and the residents had started the administration and law enforcement.
