SHAN STATE – The fierce fights occurred between Danu People’s Liberation Army (DPLA) and the terrorist junta army in Intaw and Kyauk Gu area of Shan (South) State, on August 8, killing nine junta forces, capturing eight, and confiscating 19 weapons, according to DPLA.
Starting on the morning of August 8, the fights broke out in Loi Hawng and Hpet Yin Kone Villages of Intaw Town, DPLA’s active area Kyauk Gu, until the evening. The fights were intense that the junta army bombarded with its fighter jet, and junta soldiers were killed and captured, and weapons were confiscated.
“The highest rank among the dead was a Major, 292 Battalion, Ba Htoo Livestock, Army Cadet School, Ba Htoo Artillery Battalion,” said the DPLA information officer.
Danu People’s Liberation Army (DPLA) is the Danu people’s resistance force that fought together with Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and People’s Defense Force – Mandalay (MDY – PDF) allied forces in capturing Nawnghkio Township.
