MON STATE – New Mon State Party Anti Dictatorship (NMSP-AD) spokesperson Naing Banyar Mon said that they will take action against those who join the citizen security and terrorism fighting forces that are currently being formed by the junta council.
He explained that those forces are merely schemes by the deteriorating junta council to replenish its forces and state that they have published official notices that they will take action against everyone involved in the formation of those forces including Village and ward administration officers.
“We are advising everyone in our active territory, especially the administration team members, to not get involved in this,” said Naing Banyar Mon.
At present, the junta council has summoned all men between 35 and 65 years old to form citizen security and terrorism fighting forces across the country. It is said that the members of those forces will have to attend one month of military training and fight alongside the junta council forces.
