SAGAING DIVISION- It was reported that when Soe Win, the deputy leader of the military council, was at the Northwest Military Command (MaMaKha), two kamikaze drones attacked, said the official of the Daung Taman Operation.
On October 15th at about 10:30 a.m. in the morning, when Soe Win arrived in NaMaKha, a kamikaze drone was launched to the military headquarters. At about 11:30 a.m., another kamikaze drone was able to attack Soe Win’s helicopter, according to the official. A resident of Monywa also said that he saw vehicles leaving NaMaKha.
The kamikaze drone was named to honor Japanese pilots who underwent suicide attacks to the enemy targets during World War II.
The operation was carried out by Drone Force (2) of Team (3) PDAF (Ayeyarwaddy Division) (People’s Defense Team) and Team (4) SSTF under Shar Htoo Waw Technical Force, Eagle Wing Drone Force, Baydar Pyan Drone Team, Ayeyarwaddy Division People’s Defense Force, Union Brothers-UB (People’s Welfare Group), “Our” Support (Htout Poh) Group, 500 million Support Group and local battalions and forces to attack as the Daung Taman Arial Operation.
It is stated that revolutionary forces used to attack with heavy weapons and drones whenever higher military leaders came to NaMaKha. Additionally on last April 9, while Soe Win, the deputy leader of the military council, and his team were having a special operation meeting at Southwest Regional Headquarters (YaTaKha) in Mawlamyine, Mon State, they were attacked by kamikaze fixed wing drones.
