MYANMAR – Mr. Nay Phone Latt, the spokesperson of the NUG Prime Minister Office, said during the November 12 press briefing that he believes and hopes that President-Elect Trump and the U.S. citizens would show support to the people of Myanmar who are fighting to eradicate military dictatorship in Myanmar.
He also congratulated President Trump on winning the November 5 election as well as the elected MPs, U.S. citizens and the voters for a successful democratic election.
He continued that the people of Myanmar demonstrated their will in a democratic election as well but the terrorist junta council tried to diminish it and thus the people are now fighting to eradicate military dictatorship, adding that he hope the newly elected president and the people of the U.S. will continue to support the people of Myanmar in their Spring Revolution.
“We would also like to pass a message that we hope the American people and the American government will continue to support the Spring Revolution of the Myanmar people who are fighting to eradicate the terrorist junta council that relied on arms and tried to erase the will of the people democratically demonstrated in Myanmar,” said Mr. Nay Phone Latt.
Political observers have commented that there are concerns whether President-Elect Trump would lose interest in and ignore the Myanmar affairs, especially regarding the Myanmar political crisis and Myanmar refugees.
