SAGAING DIVISION – The National Unity Government of Myanmar – Interim Central Bank collected and recorded 900 million MMK from Kawlin Economic Bank after People’s Defence Forces (PDF) seized Kawlin Town, according to the statement.
On November 6, KIA, PDF, and revolutionary forces seized Kawlin under the guidance of No. 1 Military Region, Kawlin District. On November 8, Prime Minister Mahn Winn Khaing Thann of NUG, formed an Interim Administrative Committee for Kawlin.
The group followed the Standard Operating Procedure, collecting 952.343 Million MMK from the junta Economic Bank and systematically saving it at the NUG Interim Central Bank. The statement also mentioned that they are operating systematically for the public, ensuring the safety of their savings.
