MYANMAR- The National Unity Government (NUG) Union Minister of Defense (Mr.)Yee Mon said that only 28 percent of all cities in Myanmar can be controlled by the Terrorist War Council last Thursday (August 10).
The Union Minister made the aforementioned announcement during the “Aung Sagar Program to the People” this morning (August 10).
“There are 352 cities in Myanmar. Currently, the military council can only control almost 28 percent of all cities,” said Union Minister (Mr.) Yee Mon.
He also said that he went on a series of ground trips during 2023 – 2024, and during those trips, only the revolutionary organizations could dominate and control the land.
” I want to say that my journeys make it very clear how far our revolutionary organizations and the revolutionary comrades have dominated the area,” the Minister of Defense stated.
The Union Minister surveyed 352 cities. These cities are divided into four groups, 75 cities that were occupied and controlled by revolutionary forces, 105 cities that have been cordoned off to prevent the Terrorist Junta troops from leaving the city, 74 cities where people’s revolutions (battles) took place, and 98 cities that are still under the control of the Terrorist Junta Council.
“If we can move forward in a balanced way, both politically and militarily, we will enter the mode of revolutionary victory, that’s for sure,” said Union Minister Yee Mon.
The National Unity Government will always welcome and call for the commander of the terrorist army and soldiers to take refuge in People’s Embrace. Those (military forces) with common sense and the right vision will have the right to participate in the change of the country with dignity, the Union Minister stated.
