MYANMAR – The National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Defence (MOD) prosecuted six members of the People’s Defence Force (PDF) and People’s Defence Organisation (PDO), who violated regulations according to procedures in October, announced the MOD.
A PDF member was sentenced to imprisonment at a brief court hearing while another was sentenced to imprisonment at the martial court. out of four PDO members, one was removed from his position, two were temporarily suspended for six months, and the last one was issued a warning after findings from the investigation court.
The NUG MOD stated that they are working on stages of control to ensure that the PDF and PDO are disciplined and serve the people and that they are conducting fair trials and taking action accordingly.
