MAGWAY DIVISION – People’s Defence Forces (PDFs) bombed the junta council’s Salin Police Station on August 10 using drones, injuring five including the station chief, according to Minbu District Battalion 5.
An official from Minbu District Battalion 5 said that a grenade was dropped onto the police station via drone around 7 a.m. on August 10 and it landed on the officer’s quarters in the police station.
He added that five junta forces including the station master were injured in the blast and that the injuries were serious.
There are around 30 junta police forces at Salin Police Station which is also frequented by junta soldiers from infantry battalions 253, 254 and 254 based in Salin.
After the drone bomb attack, junta forces were said to have blocked off the roads into and out of Salin and conducted searches, even assaulting civilians in certain places.
The attack on the junta police station was carried out by Minbu District Battalion 5 and Minbu District Drone Team.
