TANINTHARYI DIVISION – An oil tanker at the port in Kyatsarpyin Ward of Dawei that previously caught on fire which resulted in eight deaths and three injuries caught on fire again, reported the residents.
“The fuel vapour sparked and caught on fire again. It happened despite us watching it the whole time. The sparks have not died yet,” said a resident.
That oil tanker caught on fire around 4 p.m. on October 14. The Dawei Fire Department stated that seven men and a woman were killed, two men and one woman were injured and one man was missing in that incident.
The details of the fire from October 18 are not known yet except that the flames were not as intense and that the fire was still being put out.
