MAGWAY DIVISION-In commemoration of the first anniversary of the founding of Battalion No. 7 in Minbu District, located in Magway Division, a Sepak takraw race competition was held for the battalion members on July 21, according to a member of the battalion’s information committee.
There were four teams competing, with the first prize of 50,000 kyats awarded to the Battalion No. 7 headquarters team, and the second prize of 20,000 kyats awarded to Team 1, Unit 2.
Battalion No. 7 of Minbu District was initially established on March 27, 2021, as the People’s Defence Force – Pwintbyu.
On July 21, 2023, the National Unity Government’s Ministry of Defense granted permission for Battalion No. 7 in Minbu District to operate.
Congratulatory messages celebrating the first anniversary of the founding of Battalion No. 7 were sent by the Minbu District Administration Office (No. 1 Military Region, Magway Division), Battalion 6 in Minbu District, People’s Defence Force – Pwintbyu, Yenanthar Youth Force (Local PDF), and the Liberation Force Military Group.
