MYANMAR – Mr. Nay Phone Latt, the spokesperson of the NUG Prime Minister Officer, spoke at the press briefing “message to the people and the international community” that a one time support to all PDF battalions costs over one million USD.
“We want to clarify to the people how the Ministry of Defence is providing rations and general expenses to the PDF battalions. The funds contributed by the subscribers of PRF (People’s Revolution Supply Family) are used to supply rations and general expenses to the battalions. The funds are not given out monthly but once every 40-50 days. A one time supply to all battalions costs over one million USD. Based on the previous year’s data, PRF members are raising nearly 800,000 USD per month. And we are extremely grateful to them. The deficit is taken from the union budget. The money from the union budget is not just used for rations and general expenses but also for other important matters. So it is critical that more people join the PRF program,” said Mr. Nay Phone Latt.
He continued that only by directly supporting the PDF forces on the ground will it be an effective support to the success of the revolution.
“Depending on the number of PDF soldiers you can support, you may also be promoted from a PRF soldier to a PRF commander. Contributing to the PRF program directly supports the PDF soldiers on the ground as well as the support of the revolution,” he said.
