SHAN STATE – The new additional forces, which includes many women, with a total of 54 trainees have been receiving military training as batch number 3 at Pekhon Battalion 1006, People’s Defence Force (PDF), Ministry of Defence, National Unity Government.
“They are training with the spirit and physical strength aiming to balance the wisdom and courage, and to crush and root out the power-crazed enemy. The training is about to be completed,” said the battalion’s information officer.
He said that this course is the continuation after 85 trainees completed the 2nd batch of training last April.
He also said that the battalion is accepting specific supplies for food as there are difficulties to ensure that there is enough food in line with the increase of new forces in the battalion.
PDF Phekon Battalion 1006 is fighting the military dictator on the Shan-Karenni front along with other brotherhood battalions from southern Shan State.
