In a significant blow to the junta’s forces, two soldiers were killed and four others injured in a landmine attack carried out by the local People’s Defense Force (PDF) – Myaing in Pauk township of the Magway region on June 2. The PDF – Myaing, in collaboration with the Bo Na Pauk group, targeted junta troops patrolling the area, resulting in casualties among the soldiers.
According to the PDF – Myaing, the attack took place at around 8:40 am between Laylane village and Thayaphi village in Pauk township. The coordinated assault inflicted injuries on at least six soldiers, with two of them later succumbing to their wounds.
This successful operation highlights the resistance and determination of local defense forces in their efforts to confront the oppressive junta regime.
