SAGAING DIVISION – An official from “We are people” group reported that personal items were donated to the displaced people at long term IDP camp in Chaung-U Township of Monywa District on July 31.
There are more than 200 war displaced people in the IDP camp, and the people are from Wayar, Yagyitaw, Shwekyin, Kanzee, Kanywa Thit (Kangyikone), Kinmuntaw, and Kalargyi villages. Kangyikone, Kinmuntaw, Kanzee villages are junta lackey Pyu Saw Htee villages, and those villagers who don’t want to join Pyu Saw Htee , armed militia group also come and stay at IDP camps.
“Health care used to be quite difficult. Recently, there is a clinic where revolutionary comrades are treated, and public people can also undergo for medical treatments up to major surgeries,” an official from the “We are people” group said.
The total number of people fleeing the war in the whole of Chaung-U Township is more than 15,000, and among them, 4,000 to 5,000 households were burned by the terrorist junta army’s arson attack. At the moment, flood occurs in Chaung-U Township, and the displaced people in some IDP camps have to flee from the flood again, reported by the groups helping the displaced.
