SHAN STATE (SOUTH) – Pa’O National Organization (PNO) who is dominating in Hsaikhkawng region captured the village head of Htilonesu Village and 6 other villagers, locked them up, kicked and beat them with guns, according to local news source.
The Htilonesu Village head and the six villagers who came back from the garden on the night of July 28 was being captured and beaten.
“The monks of the village came and apologized to release but even the monks were being told off. One of the villagers Phyar Su was beaten until the eyes bleed, and the rest of the people were also beaten badly,” a local resident wrote on social media.
The junta allied leader of the PNO who captured and beat the villagers was Khun Htyke Aung from Hsaikhkaung, and the victims who were taken and beaten were village head Khun Nay Htut, village elderly Khun Hla Swe, and Phyar Su, the village organizer, Khun Maw Htin and two other villagers. They were released only after the money is paid.
Similarly, on July 26, Khun Ta Khe from Hsawngin Village was also taken and beaten. PNO reportedly roams around other villages, illegally abducts, beats the locals and looting money from villagers.
