SHAN STATE – The Pa-O National Organization (PNO) abducted seven villagers of Loi Long Village of San Kar Village Tract, Nyaungshwe Township, Inlay area, for almost a month but released only six people and one has not been released yet, according to locals.
On July 17, the Revolutionary Forces raided, attacked and captured the junta bases stationed by the junta forces and the soldiers of PNO near Loi Long Village of San Kar Village Tract in Nyaungshwe Township, and PNO abducted seven locals of Loi Long Village and looted 28 motorbikes during their way to retreat as they suffered many casualties.
On August 8, six out of the seven abductees were released, but the oldest one, Mr. Saung, has not been released to this day.
The released were identified as Mr. Aik To, 16, Mr. Aik Hat, 21, Mr. Aik Tu, 22, Mr. Aik Pe and Mr. Aik Mu, both 26 and Mr. Kyaw Kyay, 22, while the oldest one, Mr. Saung in his 60s, have not been released yet, as of August 12.
It was said that the family members are anxiously waiting as they have not heard any whereabouts of Mr. Saung.
