MANDALAY DIVISION – Comrade Ko Zin from 27 Revolution Force, Myingyan District Battalion 1, a prominent revolutionist from the Ayeyarwaddy and Chindwin confluence, was reported to have fallen.
The 41 year old revolutionist from 27 Revolution Force passed away from poor health on July 28, reported an official from the force.
Local revolutionary soldiers said that Comrade Ko Zin had been a great support to the revolution since the beginning of the Spring Revolution and was someone who worked to strengthen the revolution at the Ayeyarwaddy Chindwin Confluence where Myingyan District of Mandalay Division, Myaung Township of Sagaing Division and Yesagyo Township of Magway Division meet.
“He was one of the earliest among those from Myingyan to arrive at Yelalgyun and Myaung regions and worked hard to eradicate the fascist junta regime in Sagaing, Magway and Mandalay Divisions, and Myingyan District. He is definitely a comrade who must be remembered in the Spring Revolution history of Myingyan,” said a resident of Myingyan.
His funeral was said to have been held on July 29, attended by local defence forces and a large number of civilians.
Myingyan District is a region of strong revolution in Mandalay Division and the junta forces frequently commits various crimes including torture, murder and arson in the region.
